Booking Terms and Conditions

All clients must make their own arrangements for travel to the holiday cottage. We accept no responsibility for issues related to such travel. All times shown are local time. You are advised to check on times if in any doubt.

Insurance

You are strongly advised to take out your own personal and medical insurance. Please be aware that E111 will not be sufficient cover in event of some accidents and illnesses.

Pets

The transport of small domestic pets to and from France must be in accordance with the relevant requirements of the country. Please seek advice from your vet. It is the responsibility of the animal owner to ensure that conditions stipulated with regard to pets in the collage are complied with. Failure to do so may result in loss of Housekeeping deposits.

Booking and Payment

When booking a holiday with us a deposit of £30.00 per person is required. After you have booked and on clearance of the deposit we issue a confirmation advice that sets out additional details and provides other useful information. Unless we hear from you within 5 working days of receiving confirmation we will assume you are satisfied with the arrangements and our contract will take effect.

Full payment must be received at least 8 weeks before your due booking date, or at the time of booking if within 8 weeks of departure. If full payment is not received we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain any deposit paid.

Cancellation by you

If you have to cancel your holiday at any time after the contract has taken effect you must do so in writing. You will incur charges on a scale related to the period of notice given to us – see below

Transfer of Booking

If you are prevented from holidaying you may transfer your booking to another person. You must transfer your booking by giving notice in writing of your intention to do this.

Alterations by you

If you wish to change your holiday arrangements and you have paid a deposit or the full a mount, we will do all we reasonably can to accommodate your new requirements. Any change that results in a reduction in the total number of persons in the holiday accommodation will be treated as a cancellation of that part of the booking.

Special Requirements

If you require a travel cot, pet facilities or any additional special requirements please let us know at time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Your Accommodation and Safety

You undertake to take responsibility and exercise reasonable care in respect of your accommodation and its equipment. We remind you of your duty of care for you own and other members of your party’s safety while you are away. Local regulations, with which we comply, may mean that the layout and services with your accommodation are different from those to which you may be accustomed.

Customer Service

We are confident that you will enjoy your holiday but if you do encounter a problem you must immediately notify the local owner to try to resolve the problem at the time. The telephone contact number for this service will be shown on your booking confirmation.

Data Protection

We take our responsibility regarding privacy and security of client information very seriously. The data we obtain from you is required to process your booking or enquiry as requested. We may use certain data to inform you of future bookings, offers and accommodation availability.

Holiday Information

Holiday Prices

Unless otherwise stated or requested prices include rental for one week, bed linen, electricity and logs for the wood burning fires. If you require Internet access during your stay there will be an additional charge. Kindly not that towels are not included. Bicycles are available for use but kindly not that the owner’s accept no liability for accidents that happen as a result of their use. It is the responsibility of the rider to make the normal prudent checks to ensure they are roadworthy as the owners do no service or maintain these vehicles.

Additionally if you require airport, ferry pick ups and drop offs these will be quoted on a per booking price. Please ask for further details.

Special Requests

Wherever possible we will try to meet your specific requirements but we are unable to guarantee these.

Disabled Clients

“Welcome” is not at present suitable for clients with restricted mobility.

Passport for Pets

Most domestic pets can also enjoy the joys of France by travelling under the Pets Passport Scheme. Please contact your vet or the DEFRA helpline on 0870 241 1710 for information on taking your pet abroad we welcome pets but please notify us of your intent to bring your pet/pets. Kindly note that no pets are allowed on the furniture and any damage caused by so doing will be deducted from the Housekeeping deposit.

Housekeeping Deposit

A deposit of £20 per week, per person will be added to your booking fee. At the end of the holiday providing, equipment, accommodation and building fabric are undamaged this will be returned in full. Any damage or loss will result in 5 reductions being made from the deposit.
